COBRA costs more than my rent, what did you do? after 5 years as a marketing coordinator

The COBRA quote for my family is $600 a month and I do not know how to afford it. This is my first time dealing with any of this. My old employer will not help with the premium.

If you have a planned treatment, COBRA can make sense for a few months. Otherwise look at the marketplace first.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
