COBRA costs more than my rent, what did you do?

The COBRA quote for my family is $300 a month and I do not know how to afford it. It has been a long 26 weeks. I saw that marketplace plans might cost less. Is the decision time really that tight?

If you have a planned treatment, COBRA can make sense for a few months. Otherwise look at the marketplace first.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
