Applying for food benefits after losing my job - what worked for you?

I got a notice asking for proof of income and I am unsure what to send. It has been a long 22 weeks. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
