Applying for food benefits after losing my job - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a customer-service rep and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The caseworker asked for bank statements too.

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 8 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
