Applying for food benefits after losing my job (update)

My SNAP recertification is coming up and my income changed a lot since my layoff. I am in Jacksonville, in case local advice matters. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
