Applying for food benefits after losing my job (update)

I got a notice asking for proof of income and I am unsure what to send. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
