Applying for food benefits after losing my job (update)

I lost my job as a hotel front-desk agent and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 16 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
