Applying for food benefits after losing my job (Spokane)

I lost my job as a project coordinator and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. Any experience at all would help. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.
