Applying for food benefits after losing my job (Sacramento)

I got a notice asking for proof of income and I am unsure what to send. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 4 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
