Applying for food benefits after losing my job (Minneapolis)

I lost my job as a social media manager and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 25 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
