Applying for food benefits after losing my job - first time posting

I lost my job as an office manager and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
