Applying for food benefits after losing my job

I lost my job as a mechanic and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. There are 3 people in my household. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
