Applying for food benefits after losing my job, barista here

I lost my job as a barista and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.
