Applying for food benefits after losing my job - any advice?

I lost my job as a welding apprentice and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.
