Applying for food benefits after losing my job - any advice?

I lost my job as a bank teller and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I am in Cincinnati, in case local advice matters. The caseworker asked for bank statements too.

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 3 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
