Applying for food benefits after losing my job after 16 years as a welding apprentice

My SNAP recertification is coming up and my income changed a lot since my layoff. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 16 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
