Applying for food benefits after losing my job after 13 years as a mechanic

I lost my job as a mechanic and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 21 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
