Applying for food benefits after losing my job - 6 months and counting

I got a notice asking for proof of income and I am unsure what to send. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
