Applying for food benefits after losing my job

I got a notice asking for proof of income and I am unsure what to send. I worked as a paralegal before this. There are 17 people in my household. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
