Applying for food benefits after losing my job - 14 months and counting

I lost my job as a bookkeeper and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. There are 17 people in my household. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 11 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
