Applying for food benefits after losing my job - 12 months and counting

I lost my job as an administrative assistant and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. This is my first time dealing with any of this. There are 3 people in my household. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 6 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
