Appeal deadline questions after an unemployment denial - 8 weeks in

I was told my separation was for misconduct, which is not what happened. I worked as an accountant before this. My employer's version of events does not match mine, and I have emails that show it. Should I ask someone for free legal help?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
